Catwoman Her Sister: La vengeance de Sister Zero, la sœur folle de Catwoman

Selina moping about her plot-induced break-up with Bruce did not work. Selina trying to reach her catatonic sister is heartbreaking, however, and emotion drips from those pages dealing with her memories. (As does revulsion from the torture.)

Maggie Kyle is Selina Kyle's estranged sister. She was once part of a convent as a nun. She explored the world, and moved back to Gotham after marrying her husband, Simon Burton. After Black Mask kidnaps them and kills her husband, she goes insane and becomes Sister Zero after killing a fellow nun and taking her tools.

Catwoman Her Sister

Her next appearance is Catwoman: Downtown Babylon, where Magdalene sees her sister, Selina, in a cat-suit, beating up her pimp, Stan, for kicking a cat. Selina is now on the run. Magdalene realizes that she is now Catwoman, under the influence of Batman. Magdalene sees Holly, and asks her if she has seen this woman. Magdelene shows a picture of Selina to Holly. Magdelene is then feeding the cats out side her church, and Selina comes to her. Selina is told the most recent news, which is that her father died, and that when mom left and died, it wasn't Selina's fault. Stan comes behind Magdalene and knocks her out. Magdalene is missing and the cops and Sister Elizabeth is out looking for her. Selina goes and finds a gold crucifix and prays for Maggie. Magdalene is praying as well, and tied up in Stan's apartment, where he berates her.

In Catwoman: Relentess: Part 1, Catwoman traces a group of small kids who are petty thieves. Once they run back to a church, Catwoman meets Maggie Kyle, her sister, whom she hadn't seen since Stan's death. She talked about how she eventually left to find a new life and explore the world. Moving to the West Coast, she met her future husband, Simon Burton. Years later, Simon's work transferred them to Gotham City.

In Catwoman: Relentess: Part 2, Selina invites her sister, Maggie Kyle Burton, to a dedication ceremony. Bruce Wayne dedicates the opening of the East End Community Clinic which was funded by the donations of an anonymous donor, which was Selina. That night, the building is blown up, apparently by her old friend Sylvia Sinclair. Yet it ends with Simon Burton, Maggie's new husband, being kidnapped.

In Catwoman: Relentess: Part 5, after this failure, he turned his attention once again to Catwoman. Threatening her friends and family, he coaxed her out for a confrontation. He was under the impression that she would enact her 'no kill code', however she did not, as she shot him in the head and blew off his jaw, killing him. As well, his follower, Sylvia Sinclair, was killed by her friend, Holly, in self defence. Catwoman took these lives for her sister and her husband. However, it's shown that Roman Sionis survived the attack.

The 1989 Catwoman limited series, written by Mindy Newell and with art by J.J. Birch, expanded upon Miller's Year One origin. This storyline, known as "Her Sister's Keeper", explores Selina's early life as a dominatrix and the start of her career as Catwoman. The story culminates with Selina's former pimp, Stan, abducting and beating her sister Maggie, who, in contrast to Selina, is a nun. Selina kills Stan to save her sister, and gets away with it. Most of this is revealed in the former series, but is expanded upon in "Her Sister's Keeper".

After her time in New York City, Selina returns to Gotham City, which at this time is in the midst of the "No Man's Land" storyline. As Catwoman, she assists Batman against Lex Luthor in the reconstruction of the city. After being arrested by Commissioner Gordon, she escapes from prison. Later that year, during the "Officer Down" storyline in the Batman titles, Catwoman is initially the chief suspect. Although later cleared, she displays increasingly erratic behavior throughout the story, with her series later revealing that she has developed a form of personality disorder after exposure to the Scarecrow's fear gas, causing her to act as herself and an identity that appears to be her sister Maggie pretending to be her. Soon afterward, she disappears and is believed to have been killed by the assassin Deathstroke the Terminator, ending her series at issue #94.

Still unbalanced and uncertain of herself in issue #52, Selina is forced to decide whether to kill a supervillain. Black Mask, in an attempt to "improve himself", threatens the most important people in Selina's life, from Slam Bradley to Holly. The villain had also previously tortured Selina's sister Maggie by drilling out her husband's eyeballs and feeding them to Maggie, which drove her insane. Black Mask learns Selina's identity through his earlier alliance with Selina's childhood friend Sylvia, who still harbors a grudge against Selina. Still thinking that Selina adheres to a strict no-kill rule, Black Mask is caught by surprise when Selina shoots him in the head.[5] This action continues to haunt her throughout the "One Year Later" storyline, and it is suggested that this might have been the first time she had ever directly taken a life.

During the events of Blackest Night, Selina is attacked by Black Mask after he has been reborn as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. After he tells her that he plans on getting an emotional response before killing her, Selina steals a car and heads to the mental institution where Maggie is held, believing Black Mask is coming for her. Black Mask attacks the institution, and somehow awakens Maggie from her coma. Selina arrives in time to help her sister flee into the sewers. While on the run, Maggie angrily tells Selina that she ruined both of their lives the day she decided to become Catwoman. Devastated by her sister's statement, Selina fails to realize they have both been heading into a trap. Just as Black Mask is about to gouge Maggie's eyes out and shove them down Selina's throat, Harley and Ivy arrive and defeat the Black Lantern by trapping him in the stomach of a man-eating plant. Selina is helped to her feet by her friends, who tell her that Maggie has fled the scene. The next day, the staff members of the mental institution are shown discussing Maggie's escape, also mentioning that a nun that works at the hospital had been found beaten and stripped of her uniform. Maggie is then shown in the depths of the Gotham City sewers clad in the bloodied nun robes, muttering about her plan to kill Catwoman in order to free Selina's soul.[26] Now calling herself Sister Zero, Maggie attempts to kill Selina, but ultimately flees after being defeated by the Sirens. She is last seen going over her options, now realizing that she cannot murder her own sister, and therefore must personally exorcise the "cat demon" from within Selina's body.[27]

One of the most powerful scenes in the comic occurred when Selina and her sister discuss her role as the Catwoman. Here her character is perhaps most developed, and she explains the power and control she feels when she wears the costume, compared to the helpless, vulnerable feelings of her unmasked self. We see Selina as a scared young woman, a stark contrast to the strong, fearless Catwoman. This makes her character so much easier to relate to while simultaneously drawing a line between her and the reader. If Selina represents what we as readers feel in our lives, Catwoman represents the escapist mentality we all strive for, to rise above our emotions and become impervious to pain.

At the same time, we see the real trouble a young Catwoman used to get herself into, making her connection with her sister, Maggie, all the more real. This issue is a strong character study of Catwoman from Joëlle Jones, who clearly knows her subject very well.

In this action-packed conclusion to the Villa Hermosa epic, Catwoman and Raina Creel go head-to-head. Win or lose, this is a crossroads for Catwoman. Will she stay with her sister in their new home, or return to Gotham City and the life she hoped she had left behind?

Selina Kyle is a rough street kid growing up in the slums of Gotham City. She looks after her sister while scraping a living as a gang member and pit fighter. When her luck finally runs out, her potential is seen by the mysterious Talia al Ghul who saves her and recruited into the League of Assassins.

Despite Pittsburgh's loss last weekend, Kate will still be watching two contests this Sunday. Her little sister Rooney will be going for a win at the Golden Globes for her work in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and the Giants are taking on the Packers in Green Bay.

The book focuses on a lot of moments in the past including Selina trying to care for her sister and facing hardship doing while doing so and recruiting Carlos into her scheme. The scene with Selina trying to play nurse to her sister, Magdalena, is heartfelt, and shows the difficulty of lending a loving hand to someone suffering a serious disability. Carlos then takes her across Villa Hermosa to meet James Thien.

Felicia was a central protagonist in Darkstalkers the Animated Series, who, with other Darkstalkers such as Jon Talbain, Rikuo and occassionally Donovan Baine, fought against Pyron. Rather strangely, the show portrayed her as a centuries-old shapeshifter wearing a costume, rather than an actual catwoman. She also appears in the Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge OVA, as the lead of one of the three major plotlines of the miniseries.
