UPDATED Ibm Mq Client 7 Download
To install a Unix Client:1. Logon as root, create an empty directory (with sufficient space to receive the download file) and make it current.2. Download mqc75_platform to this directory. (Where 'platform' is replaced with a specific platform name e.g. AIX, Linux-x86)3. Uncompress mqc75_platform.4. Execute tar -xvf mqc75_platform.5. Execute rm mqc75_platform.6. To complete the installation of the client, follow the instructions given in Knowledge Center (a link is given later in this document). To install the client on a Windows machine download the compressed file and extract the content. From the Windows subdirectory in the extracted file set, run the setup.exe program.Important information for Windows usersWhen upgrading the clients installation from previous levels to a WebSphere MQ V7.5.0.0 level, the mqclient.ini file in WebSphere MQ installation directory is removed. To overcome this problem, please take a backup of the mqclient.ini file from the WebSphere MQ installation directory (by default in C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ) before upgrading the clients using the 7.5.0.0 client installer, then copy it back after the install has completed.
WebSphere MQ 7.0.1 is supplied in an eAssembly. This document provides a list of the installation images available in the eAssembly, and describes how to download the eAssembly images from the Passport Advantage website.
The v6 clients are compatible with the v7 server and vice-versa and you would be able to open a PMR if you found issues. The manual for v7 clients states that they are compatible with supported levels of WMQ server, which includes only v6 and v7 (see this link for details).
Word to the wise, do your development on v7 because v6 is end-of-life as of September 2011. This will save you from having to upgrade again in a year. The v5.3 QMgrs should be updated to v7 as soon as time allows. Among other issues are that there are security vulns that were discovered after v5.3 went EOL so no patches were ever produced to address them at v5.3. If security is an issue for your app, you need to be at 6.0.2.9 or 7.0.1.1.

Installing the IBM MQ client is quite simple if you follow these steps. However, this installation includes more steps, yet, it is easily understandable and necessary for the successful installation of the IBM MQ Client. For more information, check the steps in detail before you begin it.
If you are wondering why the WMQ download size is 449 MB, you should know that WMQ install image includes JDK as well as administration tools, managed file transfer tools, advanced message security tools, and few other things that you wont find with any other messaging product. In my wmq_lab.zip file I also included a jar file containing the IBM Performance Harness for JMS v1.2. You can download this jar from IBM website if you wish and replace the one I provided.
Note that the gf-client.jar references a few dozen other jars from the GlassFish 3 installation. You must reference gf-client.jar from the GlassFish installation directory so that the referenced jars can be found and loaded. GlassFish can be downloaded from
Found under [JBoss install dir]/client - jboss-javaee.jar - jnp-client.jar - jboss-logging-spi.jar - jboss-messaging-client.jar - jboss-aop-client.jar - jboss-remoting.jar - jboss-common-core.jar - trove.jar - javassist.jar - jboss-mdr.jar - concurrent.jar - log4j.jar - jboss-serialization.jar

Under certain stress conditions (such as clients accessing SQL Server from the same computer), the SQL Server Shared Memory protocol may lower BizTalk Server performance. You can resolve this behavior by disabling the Shared Memory network protocol in SQL Server Network Configuration.
You are absolutely correct. With HIS 2016 RTM there was a bug with using the Send port with the Microsoft MQ Client that created a dependency on the IBM Client. This is fixed in HIS 2016 CU1 which can be downloaded at:
The system requirements for HIS 2016 list the 'supported' IBM message processing systems as MQ 7.5 and 8.0. Do you know if the Microsoft MQ Client willonly function with these server versions, or whether it is possible to use this client along with MQ 9.0 server (i.e. the latest version of the product at the time of writing) - I ask this as IBM MQ client/server interoperability is usually maintained across different versions.
Confused as to why we would be encountering an error related to Microsoft.BizTalk.Adapter.Mqsc.ImqWrapper.dll considering it is definitely there (and GAC'ed) if there should be no further dependencies required in order to use the Microsoft MQ client...

Channels are objects that provide a communication path between the Queue Managers that make up an IBM MQ environment. These are either client -to-server or server-to-server paths. Channels can have eight statuses and an acceptable status for the Channels is *RUNNING. The other seven are possible causes of concern. 2ff7e9595c
